Profile

Morley grew up in Salford, playing for Eccles amateur club before turning professional with Leeds, for whom he debuted in the 1994/95 season at the age of only 17. He rapidly became a regular in the Leeds line up, and made his first Great Britain tour in the Kiwi/Oceania tour of 1996.

After being on the losing side in the 1998 Grand Final against Wigan, Morley won the 1999 Challenge Cup Final against London Broncos before signing for Sydney Roosters at the end of the 2000 season in which he appeared for England in the World Cup. In 2005 he returned to the UK for a short-term contract with Bradford Bulls, winning the Super League Grand Final and thus completing a 'quadruple' of winners' medals in both Super League and NRL Grand Finals plus the Challenge Cup and the 2003 World Club Challenge victory over St Helens.

Warrington captain and one of the most successful forwards of the modern era, Morley led the Wolves with distinction in his first season at the helm, playing in every game and finishing the year as the club's leading meter maker. He became the first Warrington player to captain Great Britain since Mike Gregory when he took the honour for the mid season Test against France.
